Dr. Raquel “Rae” Bowie — known affectionately as Dr. Rae — is an author, spiritual life coach, trauma healer, motivational speaker, and pastor dedicated to transforming lives through healing, awakening, and divine purpose.

The visionary voice behind Piercing the Veil and several empowering publications, Dr. Rae blends spirituality, psychology, and metaphysics to guide others toward holistic, soul-centered growth. She holds a Ph.D. in Pastoral Counseling, master’s degrees in Metaphysics and Human Resources, and a bachelor’s in Psychology and Human Behavior.

Ordained in 2005, Dr. Rae has served in multiple leadership roles within the Church of God in Christ (COGIC), including Jurisdictional Secretary—one of the highest offices a woman can hold. A survivor of sexual abuse, she channels her journey into advocacy, helping others turn pain into power.

As a Certified Spiritual Life Coach, Dr. Rae counsels individuals and couples in building conscious, healthy connections with self and spirit. Her dynamic presence has made her a sought-after speaker at conferences, corporate events, and community gatherings nationwide.

In honor of her late mother, she founded Nana D’s Gourmet Popcorn and Signature Events By Design, producing experiences that nurture mental, emotional, community and spiritual well-being. A proud mother of two daughters and grandmother of six, Dr. Rae continues to embody faith, resilience, and divine purpose—living proof that healing is not only possible but powerful.
